2019 Filmetry Festival

The inaugural 2019 Filmetry Festival was co-founded by poet Cindy Hunter Morgan and filmmaker Pete Johnston. In the fall of 2018 Cindy proposed a collaboration between student and professional poets and filmmakers wherein selected poets would contribute a set of 5 potential poems to their paired filmmaker partner. The only objective the films needed to meet was to include the full text of the poem, either spoken or onscreen. 12 filmmakers participated, and the festival event was a big hit.
